How Sofunmi works

Short, culturally grounded practice built around real human voices.

  1. Start with a human and a situation.

    A tutor, conversation, or prompt gives the phrase cultural and practical context before you are asked to reproduce it.

  2. Listen with support.

    Target-language text, selectable captions where media needs them, and English base-locale explanations help you connect sound and meaning.

  3. Practise in small steps.

    Replay, slower playback, repeat, compare, and recall activities appear only when the reviewed lesson includes them.

  4. Speak when you are ready.

    Microphone access is requested at the moment it adds value. You can continue through a text or listening route when speaking is unavailable.

  5. Finish with a clear next step.

    Completion records what was finished without punishing interruption. Recoverable progress resumes against the same lesson revision.
